A Fly in the Ointment

In my last post, I shared my favorite new product, ArtResin. I even shared some tips for working with this glorious stuff.

Too bad I didn’t heed my own guidance.

Highly, Highly Endorsed: ArtResin!

If you’re a painter who wants a seriously high gloss but doesn’t want to breathe in the toxic fumes of a traditional two-part epoxy resin, then I’ve got to turn you on to the product that is changing my life: ArtResin.

There’s Always a Crack

Following up on Spires, this 12″ x 12″ canvas also features gold in the “crack,” another nod to Kintsugi. I’ve name it “There’s a Crack in Everything,” which is the first half of my favorite Leonard Cohen quote.

Magical Thinking

I Felt Like the One on the Left

Some paintings just jump out of my fingers as if I’m simply the channel through which they’re born. Others take true labor, enormous consideration, and months of adjustment until they are done. Witness I Felt Like the One on the Left. Continue reading “I Felt Like the One on the Left”

Night & Day

I just sold this painting to a wonderful couple up in Salt Lake City, I couldn’t be happier about it, either. I learned a lot doing this particular canvas. Continue reading “Night & Day”

Fizz!

Summer colors, popping. That was the goal. Continue reading “Fizz!”

Spirograph Series

An early series from June-October 2013, it was the simple re-appropriation of a favorite childhood toy. Continue reading “Spirograph Series”
